An east Suffolk man has been ordered to pay out more than £700 after driving at 44mph in a 30mph zone.
Jack Price, of Romany Lane in Kessingland, near Lowestoft, was sentenced at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on January 31.
The 63-year-old had been charged with speeding, exceeding 30mph on a restricted road, which was caught by an automatic camera device.
This was in relation to an offence on August 9 last year in Main Road in Whaplode, near Holbeach in Lincolnshire, in a Renault Trafic van.
The charges were brought against him by Lincolnshire Police.
The case was dealt with through the single justice procedure, which typically deals with more minor summary offences that are not heard before a crown court.
Price was ordered by magistrates to pay a fine of £440 in the hearing.
He was also told to pay a victim surcharge of £176, as well as costs of £110 – making a total of £726 to pay.
His driving licence was also endorsed with four points.
