There is severe disruption to rail services in Suffolk on Monday afternoon after two trees fell across the line between Ipswich and London Liverpool Street.

The first fallen tree, near Manningtree, is causing severe delays.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia has said that replacement buses are running between Colchester and Manningtree while services are cancelled and the issue is sorted.

Greater Anglia has released a list of routes which may also be cancelled, delayed or revised due to the incident.

Network Rail staff are on route to remove the tree and check that the railway is safe.

The second fallen tree, near Ardleigh, also forced rail replacement buses to be put in place between Ipswich and Colchester.

Network Rail staff have now removed the tree at Ardleigh and these services are now currently delayed by around 15 minutes.
