A major road has reopened in both directions after a crash.

Norfolk police closed the A11 Thetford Bypass due to collisions on the road.

A spokesman said Breckland police and the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing team were on the scene.

Witnesses reported traffic was at a standstill with incidents reportedly on the northbound and southbound carriageways.

The road was cleared and reopened just before 11pm.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance with engines from Thetford, East Harling and Attlebough on the scene.
