A new business hub for a Suffolk seaside town is now just weeks away from completion, offering facilities for businesses from all sectors, including start-ups.

Known as @incStationYard, the two state-of-the-art blocks that have been built on redundant space on the corner of Station Road and Blyth Road will provide ten rentable units and co-working spaces and are set to open on May 15.

The project - led by Southwold Town Council with partner East Suffolk Council - has received grant funding from The Coastal Communities Fund and Suffolk Growth to become a reality.

Business support and training provider MENTA will run the site - under its @Inc umbrella - with the aim of encouraging new business into Southwold and increase footfall for the town.

Suzanne Banks, property manager with MENTA and @incSuffolk, said one of the blocks would have four units with lift access, while the other would have six.

The whole site is accessible to members and tenants 24/7.

The co-working space is bookable on the @inc app for members and non-members.

Co-working members will benefit from 24/7 access and discounted desk and room rates and snacks. For non-members, the site is accessible Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5pm.

@incSuffolk runs a number of commercial and co-working hubs across the county, including at Felixstowe, Bury St Edmunds, Brandon and Haverhill, with the Southwold venture being a mixed commercial and co-working space.

"Thankfully, it is finally there. We have had a few delays along the way but nothing that developers Mixbrow haven’t handled with absolute professionalism.

"We anticipate hand over on May 15 with doors opening officially the following week. Watch for updates on socials," Suzanne added.
