There were long delays on the A14 near Ipswich after a car broke down.
Police were called to the incident in the westbound carriageway near Sproughton at about 8.30am on Friday.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said a rolling road block was put in place as a result of the broken down vehicle.
According to the AA Traffic Map there were long delays in the area.
Drivers were being warned to expect delays if travelling on the A14.
