Brewery fundraiser in Bury St Edmunds for Focus12 gets boost from Dirty Harry

More than 100 people helped raise £11,000 for charity at an event hosted by Greene King at Bury St Edmunds’ Athenaeum.
The brewer’s fifth annual charity ball, held on October 23, was supporting Suffolk-based drugs and alcohol rehabilitation charity Focus12.
The event, attended by 120 people this year, has now raised more than £75,000 since it was first run in 2010.
One of the fundraising initiatives at the event was an auction which included a parody portrait of Prince Harry.
Entitled Dirty Harry, it echoed a pose from the Clint Eastwood film of the same name and was painted by street artist TRUST iCON.
Dom South, marketing director for Greene King, said: “We are incredibly proud supporters of Focus12 and this year’s charity ball has been another resounding success, raising much-needed funds for a very worthy cause. The huge turn-out for the event, along with the money raised, is testament to the invaluable work done by Andy Yacoub and his team at Focus12.”
