A former Suffolk student rubbed shoulders with Hollywood stars at the premiere of a critically acclaimed film in which he performs and wrote music.
Ollie Trevers, a film score composer who attended Framlingham College, stepped out onto the red carpet at the BFI London Film Festival for the world’s first showing of Funny Cow.
The comedy drama stars Maxine Peake as a comedienne making a name for herself in the ‘70s and ‘80s stand-up scene of working men’s clubs.
Other stars include Paddy Considine, Tony Pitts, Stephen Graham and Alun Armstrong.
Mr Trevers’ compositions feature on the score alongside pieces from Richard Hawley and Corinne Bailey Rae.
He said on Facebook it was an “unbelievable opportunity”.
Critics described the music as “beautiful” while the film has been praised as “astonishing, captivating and bold”.
It was made by POW Films, which sponsors Framlingham College’s first teams.
