American musicians – from rock to classical – were celebrated as Framlingham College held its annual cabaret evening.

The performances in the Headmaster Porter Theatre had the theme Born in the USA, with the capacity audience on both evenings treated to an array of songs, from the concert band’s renditions of Pearl Harbour and Hunger Games to Pink, Pharrell Williams, a barber-shop and, of course, Bruce Springsteen.

The theatre was split into three areas – a main stage, rock stage and a grand piano stage – for the performances.

A raffle at the interval in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care raised some valuable funds for the charity.

Framlingham College’s director of music, Tim Rhodes said: “It is a pleasure to have so many talented pupils to be able to put on two, three-hour shows.

“The standard of music and singing is top quality, and there is no surprise that these events could sell-out twice over.”
