Fire crews tackled a blaze in Palgrave, near Diss

Fire crews from six stations across two counties battling a blaze involving 16 acres of field near Diss.

The fire broke out just after 1pm today off Millway Lane, Palgrave.

Firefighters from Eye and Diss arrived at the scene to find flames had spread across two adjacent fields.

Further crews attended from Thetford, Elmswell, Ixworth and Debenham.

Although the fire was under control by 2.30pm, crews remained on scene to the area for hotspots.
