Firefighters took almost two hours to free someone trapped following a head-on collision at a notorious accident hotspot.
Crews from Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket attended the crash at the A11 near Elveden at 4.45pm today.
A man was found trapped by his feet in one of the two cars involved. Having initially began efforts to free him, they paused to allow medical assistance before he was eventually freed 6.40pm. He is not believed to have suffered serious injuries.
The A11 is now closed in both directions between Elveden Crossroads in Elveden and Fiveways in Barton Mills.
Emergency services are still at the scene on the A11 London Road in Elveden following the collision between a Renault Laguna and a Skoda.
