Colchester United right wing-back, Ryan Jackson, gave his views after the U’s last pre-season friendly of the summer, a 2-1 defeat at home to his former club Gillingham last Friday evening.
Jackson scored his first goal in a U’s shirt, in that game, and is now looking forward to the start of the season proper.
The U’s are away at Accrington Stanley this Saturday, and Jackson is expected to make his competitive debut for the U’s at the Crown Ground.
