Bartosz Bialkowski
Was lucky to get away with one after spilling Marlon Pack’s shot at the feet of Milan Djuric, but couldn’t do an awful lot about the big Bosnian striker’s header which gave the hosts the three points. 6
Cameron Carter-Vickers
Solid at the back and looked much more comfortable as the Blues returned to the back three which has served them so well of late. Read the game well, attacked the ball when he needed to and was calm in possession. 6
Luke Chambers
Played his part in the Ipswich effort which helped see off the threat of 11-goal striker Diedhiou but will be disappointed to have seen his side concede once Djuric was introduced. Was good on the ball and led from the front. 7
Adam Webster
Looked to play the ball out from the back but was loose in possession and was guilty of giving the ball away both short and long. Could have done more to stop towering Bosnian striker Djuric’s header as the forward beat himh in the air. 5

Jordan Spence
Better from the wing back after a tough couple of games, but was restricted in how much he could get forward during a game which boasted little quality. Looked to play a handful of one-twos with Ward in order to get forward but they didn’t come off. 6
Jonas Knudsen
Heads off for international duty with Denmark for a week of training and games where he will bid to win a place at the World Cup. He was his usual, solid self in this game as he defended well and did his bit going forward. 6
Cole Skuse
Played in a deeper, more withdrawn midfield role against his former club and looked to pick the ball up off the back four and move it forward. Wasn’t always able to do it but looked to be positive. 6
Callum Connolly
Combative afternoon for the young Evertonian who looked up for the physical battle from the early minutes of the game. Went chest to chest with City skipper Bailey Wright after a clash between the two. Still looks a little leggy after a long season. 5
Grant Ward
Started in a wider role but worked his way inside during the first half. This meant he had little time or space to run at his man and display an attribute of his game that has served him well recently. His versatility is an asset, though. 6
Freddie Sears
Looks so much more comfortable in a central striking role, even if his run without a goal (stretching back to April) continues. Ran the channels, looked to create but never really had a sight of goal. He certainly contributed, though. 6

Martyn Waghorn
Largely isolated in attack and feeding off scraps for much of the afternoon, the Blues’ leading scorer offered little in the way of a goal threat but never stopped working. Much of the Blues’ game saw Waghorn and Sears split into wide area meaning, when he got the ball, there was little in the middle for any kind of cross. 6
Bersant Celina
Came off the bench with 10 minutes remaining to try and provide a spark but wasn’t able to have a serious impact on the game. 6
Ben Morris
A second first-team appearance in a week for the young striker, who will hopefully see more action between now and the end of the season. 6
