Youngsters from Cedarwood Primary School in Kesgrave are preparing for their big Bank Holiday Monday match at Wembley.

They are taking part in a six-a-side tournament which is part of the build-up to what is billed as the most valuable game in the world – victory for Huddersfield Town or Reading tomorrow will give them a golden ticket to the Premier League – a prize which is worth £170m according to accountants Deloitte.

The Cedarwood team won through to Wembley after winning a local tournament at Portman Road – and then finishing at the top of a tournament in Southall in London.

They headed off to the capital today with good wishes from across the town.

Year 6 sports teacher Rob Parker who was delighted when they qualified for the competition in March. He said that while they were aiming to beat their opponents from the north of England, just reaching Wembley was a great thrill.
