Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire has bolstered his squad with the signing of Stevenage striker Don Cowan.
The 23-year-old, who featured for ‘Boro in their 6-1 victory at Colchester United last season – setting up the first goal – has signed a short-term loan.
Having also enjoyed spells with Shamrock Rovers and Longford in the Republic of Ireland, the American moved to Stevenage in August 2011.
Cowan, who has been working back to full fitness this season, having picked up a fractured ankle last campaign, is eligible for Saturday’s FA Carlsberg Trophy tie at home to Havant & Waterlooville.
