A national care provider with East Anglian facilities has been sold to a new owner.
The Montreux Healthcare Fund has agreed the sale of The Regard Group, its primary asset, to investment manager AMP Capital.
The group runs nine facilities for adults with learning disabilities or mental health conditions in King's Lynn, Gayton, Sudbury and Haverhill.
Nationwide, it has 161 specialist care facilities employing more than 2,200 staff and providing dedicated support to 1,100 individuals.
Oliver Harris, chief executive of Montreux Capital Management (UK), which advised the Montreux Healthcare Fund on the sale, said it was the most significant deal in the sector this year.
'Montreux has more than doubled the value of the business in three years, while delivering award winning care and levels of service. We are sure that the Regard Group will continue to go from strength to strength under its new ownership,' he said.
