NORWICH City goalkeeper John Ruddy has been named in the England squad that will face Moldova and Ukraine in Roy Hodgson’s side’s opening World Cup qualifiers.

The Canaries stopper was named in Hodgson’s squad for Euro 2012 but was forced to withdraw after breaking a finger in training, prior to the tournament starting.

Former skipper John Terry has also been selected in the 24-man squad.

England travel to the Zimbru Stadium in Moldova on September 7 before hosting Ukraine at Wembley on September 11 as the Three Lions begin their quest for a place at Brazil 2014.
