Did you take part in judo sessions back in the 1960s, 70s and 80s?
Today we are taking a look back at the popular sport in Suffolk over the decades.
The martial art was founded in Japan in 1882, by Dr Jigoro Kano, as an adaptation of jujitsu, a form of wrestling.
It went on to grow and became an official Olympic sport at the Tokyo Games in 1964.
Judo is now one of the most popular sports in the world, practised by millions of people around the world.
Our photos show a range of clubs and demonstrations around the area over the years, with many children and young people learning the art of judo.
If our gallery brings back memories, email judy.rimmer@archant.co.uk or write to Judy Rimmer, Newsroom, 120 Princes Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 1RS. Order photos via our website or call Diane Townsend on 01603 772449.
