DETECTIVES last night charged a 22-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy with murder after the death of a 55-year-old man in Lowestoft.

John Vry, of London Road South, was found with serious head injuries in an alleyway near the Royal Court Hotel on Wednesday and died in hospital on Friday.

Police said that James Killingback, 22, of Denmark Road, Lowestoft, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had been charged with his murder.

They will appear before magistrates in the town this morning.

A 23-year-old man, from Lowestoft, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday afternoon, has been released on bail to return to Lowestoft Police Station.
