AN elderly pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious leg injuries following a collision with a motorcycle in Sudbury.
Police closed East Street at the junction with Girling Street just before 10am today after the man riding a Suzuki motorcycle and the woman pedestrian were involved in the accident on a busy crossing.
A police spokesman said: “Emergency services were on the scene within minutes and the woman was treated for serious leg injuries before being taken to hospital by ambulance.”
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team, who have closed the road, are appealing for witnesses to call them on 01473 613500.
