A CYCLIST in her 40s is fighting for life after she collided with another rider after a factory shift this morning.
Police and emergency services were called to Kiln Lane in Elmswell at 1.10am this morning after the two bikes collided.
The woman rider suffered serious head injuries which are thought to be life threatening.
Paramedics took her to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds but she could be transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge later today.
A spokeswoman for the police said the force was appealing for anybody who witnessed the incident to come forward with information.
It is understood there were other cyclists in the Kiln Lane and Warren Lane area at the time of the collision who might have seen what happened.
