A 45-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with an incident in which part of a man's ear was bitten off in a Suffolk town centre.
Police confirmed the man, from Sudbury, was arrested on suspicion of GBH and had been released on bail to return to Bury St Edmunds Police Station on October 8.
He was arrested in connection with an incident outside the Grover & Allen pub in Sudbury where a 23-year-old suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital with a broken nose, an ear injury and bruising.
The victim, who was also from the Sudbury area, is thought to have undergone surgery on his ear following the incident on Wednesday at about 5pm and has now been released from hospital.
