EX-Manchester United star Russell Beardsmore has been banned from the road after he was caught drink-driving following his old team's Champions League final win over Chelsea.
Beardsmore, 39, who lives in Christchurch, was disqualified from driving for 16 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay £60 costs and £15 victim surcharge after admitting the charge at Bournemouth Magistrates Court.
The ex-midfielder, who was a teenager when he made his Man Utd debut in 1988, had been celebrating their win against Chelsea and offered to give friends a lift home in his Land Rover.
But he was stopped in the early hours of May 22 and a found to be more than twice the legal drink-driving limit.
