ENGINEERS have finished restoring power to a number of Suffolk homes - 17 hours after the initial fault was reported.
A total of 157 EDF Energy customers in Aldringham, Theberton, Eastbridge, Sizewell and Leiston suffered a shortage at 1.04am yesterday because of problems with the high voltage underground network.
Engineers restored most of the power by 1.36pm but there were still 15 customers without electricity and these came back on line at 6.45pm last night.
A spokeswoman for EDF Energy Networks said: “We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.”
