A TEENAGER, who drowned trying to retrieve a football from a pond in Norfolk, has been named as Adam Greenacre, from North Lynn.
The 15-year-old boy died in the pond off Columbia Way in King's Lynn on Friday.
Emergency services were called at about 6.30pm to reports that he had been playing football with friends, gone to retrieve the ball and got into difficulty in the water.
He was recovered from the water at about 9pm and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where, shortly afterwards, he was pronounced dead.
