A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following a stabbing in Great Cornard, near Sudbury, last night.
Police were called by the ambulance service to Kingsbury Walk in the village at 11.50pm following reports of an incident.
A man in his 20s was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, with a “wound to his body” where his condition remains serious but stable.
This morning part of the road remained cordoned off and detectives expected to question the woman, who comes from Great Cornard, at Bury Police Station, where she was held over night.
