A LIFEBOAT was launched after a dingy overturned half a mile off shore at Southwold.
The incident happened at about 4pm, sparking a call to the emergency services by a member of the public who saw it happen.
A spokesman for Yarmouth Coastguard said: “A member of public on the beach called after seeing the dingy go over.
“It is not unusual for this to happen, but the two onboard could not get it back over and were sat on top waving their arms signalling that they were in distress.
“We launched the Southwold inshore lifeboat and assisted those in the dingy. The pair were fairly cold, but did not need any medical treatment.”
