HOMES were evacuated today after a potentially dangerous device was found in an Ipswich house.
HOMES were evacuated today after a potentially dangerous device was found in an Ipswich house.
The bomb disposal squad and police officers were called to Woodbridge Road at about 11.15am following reports that an unnamed device had been found during a house clearance.
The squad arrived at about 12.45pm and as a precautionary measure nearby homes were evacuated.
Woodbridge Road was also closed between Argyle Street and Warwick Road.
Once the bomb disposal squad arrived on the scene it discovered the device was not explosive and the road was reopened at 1pm.
