IPSWICH Town will be joined by Honduran left-sided player Emilio Izaguirre on their pre-season trip to Belfast.
The 22-year-old has flown from South America for a 10-day trial hoping he can achieve his dream of a move to England.
Izaquirre usually plays wing-back for his club Motagua and midfield for Honduras where he has won 20 caps, scoring once, but can play left back too.
Izaguirre told a Honduran newspaper: “My agent told me that I must be with Ipswich by Saturday because Sunday they travel to Ireland for pre-season.
“I will be with them for ten days and if everything comes out well I could sign my contract.
“I am really happy for this opportunity. It is a dream come true because from my early days I have wanted to play abroad.”
Ipswich will play Cliftonville, Donegal Celtic and Glentoran during the week long trip to the province.
