DRIVERS suffered delays on the A14 after a car overturned leaving two motorists needing hospital treatment.
The accident, involving a yellow Fiat Punto, happened at about 3.30pm on bank holiday Monday at Risby, near Bury St Edmunds.
The air ambulance was called to the scene after the incident, although a spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said that injuries sustained in the accident were not thought to be life threatening.
He said: “There were two female occupants inside the car and we believe they were both taken to hospital.
“There was only one vehicle involved but the road needed to be closed initially. We managed to re-open one lane, but needed to close it temporarily again to allow the car to be recovered.”
