THE chief constable of Greater Manchester Police, who is also a former Essex officer, has been found dead.

THE chief constable of Greater Manchester Police has been found dead, it emerged today.
The body of Michael Todd, a former Essex Police officer, was reportedly discovered at the bottom of a cliff in Llanberis, north Wales.
Sky News reported that suicide was suspected. The force was due to make an announcement this evening.
Mr Todd joined Essex Police in 1976 and worked there a number of years. He was recognised by Essex University as their Alumnus of the Year in 2003.
