A PENSIONER was killed last night when he was in collision with a bus close to a town centre.The accident happened in Church Lane, Braintree, at around 5pm and involved a 70-year-old man.
A PENSIONER was killed last night when he was in collision with a bus close to a town centre.
The accident happened in Church Lane, Braintree, at around 5pm and involved a 70-year-old man.
Members of the public tried to revive the pensioner, who has not been named by police, but paramedics said he could not be saved.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service paid tribute to those who tried to help, saying: “They gave this man the best chance possible of survival.”
