TWELVE firefighters and two police officers have been admitted to hospital after a chemical incident in Suffolk this afternoon.
The drama unfolded after crews put out a blaze involving a gamekeeper's vehicle in Thurston. It is understood there was aluminium phosphate - a type of rat poison - on the vehicle, which reacted with water used to put out the vehicle blaze, giving off a toxic gas.
The emergency crews affected by the incident have been taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
