Suffolk folk festival patrons The Young’uns provided the soundtrack to a school’s special ceremony.
The group visited Snape Primary to share local tales in folk songs and help open a community funded classroom, which will allow the school’s 35 pupils to be taught across three classes and no longer have to use the hall.
Fundraising activities included a heritage weekend exhibiting the history of the school were on display.
Before the opening, parents and villagers turned out at the school and sang along with pupils, staff and Folk East patrons The Young’uns.
Aldeburgh Music’s education officer Karen Dickman was there and said the event brightened up her afternoon.
