An eight-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Norwich Road in Ipswich.
Police were called to the collision at around 2.05pm today, Tuesday, July 26.
According to a spokeswoman for Suffolk police, the crash involved a Fiat 500 and a Renault Clio.
She said: “We were called just after 2.05pm to reports of a two vehicle collision in Norwich Road.
“There appears to be a minor injury to an eight-year-old boy.”
She said an ambulance had been called to the scene but was stood down as the child’s parents took the youngster to the accident and emergency department themselves.
She said it was thought that the boy had suffered a potential whiplash injury.
