If The Golden Hind was your local in 1973, you could be pictured in our gallery here.
We have delved into our archives once again – this time unearthing these pictures from a night at the Golden Hind Pub.
Opened in 1936, the pub is situated in Nacton Road, and has stood proudly in the community for decades.
These pictures are sure to evoke fond memories for many and prove just how popular it was in its heyday.
Still open today, it is now used as a sports bar. There’s a function room upstairs and a large beer garden to the rear with a range of beer and ale on tap, a pool table and two dart boards.
Were you a regular punter at the pub in the 1970s or is it your local now? Can you spot yourself or anyone you know in these pictures from our archives?
