It was in this month, of course, that Ipswich Town beat Arsenal and became FA Cup winners for the first and only time in the club’s history, with Roger Osbourne scoring the only goal of the game.

Fans of the club were dressed in blue and white with banners and flags held high with pride, and the high street was decorated with flags and displays in support of the Blues ready for their return.

In the same month, the Army prepared a special event for children and adults alike at Christchurch Park, including equipment used in the field.
