ActivLives is launching free drop-in gardening sessions for older people in the community and their relatives or carers next month.
The ActivGardens project will host sessions every Thursday afternoon from 2-3.30pm at its Chantry Walled Garden in Hadleigh Road, starting from March 8.
Those participating can enjoy gardening, flower arranging, crafts and other activities with their relatives or carers alongside staff, and is open to those with dementia too.
The garden is wheelchair accessible, and aims to bring people together in a social space to enjoy gardening activities.
The sessions are part of the Branching Out - Growing Together scheme and funded by a two-year grant from HealthIntend through the Health Lottery.
