A woman awoke in the early hours of the morning to find a burglar in her bedroom.

The incident happened last Sunday in Rectory Road, Ipswich.

Police are issuing CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

A spokeswoman said: “At approximately 4.30am on Sunday, March 11, a woman in her 40s awoke to discover an unknown man in her bedroom.

“When the victim confronted the man, he left the property by going through the back door.”

Following the incident, officers arrested a 33-year-old man from Ipswich on suspicion of burglary in the early hours Tuesday morning. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquires.
