The trial of an Ipswich man accused of sexually assaulting two teenage boys will reopen in June.
Proceedings in the trial of Scott Doughty came to a halt earlier this month after a prosecutor pulled out of the hearing in the face of persistent technology issues.
Becky Owen declared herself ‘professionally embarrassed’ by continued problems with the ClickShare wireless presentation system – installed at magistrates’ courts across the county, including in Ipswich, by the Criminal Justice System in 2015.
The trial had heard evidence from one alleged victim, and three-quarters of a second alleged victim’s police interview, when the case was adjourned.
On Tuesday, a date was set for the trial to reopen on June 27.
Doughty, 46, of Parliament Road, Ipswich, a manager at Gresham’s Sports and Social Club in Ipswich, denies seven offences against two teenage males between 2015 and 2017.
