A group of travellers have set up camp in one of the busiest car parks in Ipswich after driving on to the site.
A total of 10 caravans arrived at the West End Road car park, which is used by many rail passengers, late on Thursday.
They blocked many of the parking spaces – and some potential users were put off and found somewhere else to leave their cars when they arrived on Friday morning.
A spokesman for the borough said legal action was being taken to ensure the travellers moved on.
He said: “Ipswich Borough Council is aware of the group of travellers on West End Road car park and is taking all necessary steps with its partners to resolve the situation and to secure possession of the site.”
Council officers are hoping that the threat of legal action will persuade the travellers to leave over the weekend, and certainly by the time commuters want to use the car park again on Monday morning.
