Ipswich Borough Council is giving people the rare opportunity to grab a bargain without any money changing hands.
The ‘Give and Take’ recycling event, invites people to come along with a donation of unwanted items such as books, homewear, toys and gifts and exchange them for something else.
The swapping event is hosted by the council throughout the year in a bit to build communities and encourage recycling.
Councillor Sophie Meudec, communities portfolio-holder, said: “These events are really worthwhile – everyone likes a bit of give and take.
“It is a good opportunity to clear out the house or pick up some really good items. No money changes hands and anything left over will be collected by a local charity.”
The ‘Give and Take’ sales event will be held at Westgate Ward Social Club on Tuesday (DEC 12) from 10am until 2pm.
