A fundraising event to help an Ipswich boy strengthen his muscles and enjoy outdoor activities with his family is being held today.
Alexander Boyle, seven, was born with brain damage which caused cerebral palsy.
His condition means that movement is difficult, yet he needs to keep his muscles moving to gain strength.
The family fun day, taking place at Heathlands Pre-School, on the grounds of Broke Hall Primary School, has been organised in a bid to raise money for a new trike so that Alexander can go outside, keep active and enjoy playing with his brother and sister.
The trike needed for Alexander needs to be bespoke made to suit his needs and is not available on the NHS.
The family has already raised £1,400 on crowdfunding site JustGiving, with a target of £2,000 set.
The event is at Heathlands Pre-School from 10am to 2pm and will feature wooden crafts, a jacket potato lunch and a sale of homemade cakes and lemonade.
A staff versus parents football game will be held as well as a family raffle.
