A 16-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed as he walked through an Ipswich park yesterday.

The incident took place in Alexandra Park in the town around 1.30pm when the boy was grabbed around the neck from behind and brought to the ground.

At least three offenders then assaulted the boy, kicking him in the head and body and demanding that he hand over property.

The suspects stole £5 and a iPhone charger. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as a white teenage boy, 5ft 11in tall, small build with blond hair who was wearing a grey coat and spoke with a foreign accent.

The second suspect is described as a black teenager, 5ft 9in tall, medium build who was wearing a black coat and had his face covered.

The third suspect is described as a black man, aged between 18-20 years, around 6ft 2in tall, wearing all black clothing and a black balaclava.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who has any information to call 101 with reference 66484/17.
