A 21-year-old man from Ipswich has appeared in court charged with causing GBH with intent and possessing a knife in a public place after an incident in Cardinal Park.
Before South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court today was Jewel Miah, of Moore Road in Ipswich, who entered no plea at the hearing.
Miah is accused of causing GBH with intent to three men in Cecilia Street on October 6.
Police had been called to the scene, in Cardinal Park, at around 3.10am that day.
The 21-year-old, who was remanded in custody, is also accused of having a red and black knife with him in a public place.
Miah’s case was sent to Ipswich Crown Court.
He will appear there on November 8.
• Two others remain under investigation in relation to the incident – a 21-year-old man from the Colchester area arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause GBH and a 19-year-old man from Ipswich arrested on suspicion of affray.
