Students from three Ipswich primary schools and one high school came together at Ipswich Town Football Club for a series of workshops to develop their skills.
Pupils from Hillside, Sidegate and Gusford primary schools – all part of the Active Learning Trust – worked together on their teamwork, listening, empathy and leadership skills, before Chantry Academy youngsters led a session on how to tackle challenges facing them in schools. They presented their ideas and pitches from the director’s box.
Thomas Moseley, event organiser and Chantry Academy assistant principal, said: “We want all of our students to succeed and enabling the student voice of each of our learning communities be heard – enables them to feel valued and helps them to become better individuals. It is clear that they will use what they have learnt today to help improve their lives of all of the people involved in their communities.”
