Two of Ipswich’s top parks are in the running for a prestigious award recognising Britain’s best green spaces nationwide.
Voting has opened for the Green Flag Awards to find out which parks are the best, with Holywells Park and Christchurch Park among those in the running.
Having undergone a £3.5million restoration in recent years, Holywells Park has returned as an Ipswich favourite with cafe, wildlife area, orchard and a regular programme events.
Christchurch Park meanwhile is boosted by the presence of the mansion, large pond and prestigious events such as Ipswich Music Day.
