Trains on the line towards Colchester are running at reduced speed due to a signalling fault between Manningtree and Ipswich, causing delays.
Greater Anglia says train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 15 minutes or more and disruption is expected until 9am this morning.
Network Rail is onsite and working to fix the fault, but as a result some trains may have to be held at platforms at Ipswich until the fault has been restored.
Greater Anglia and Network Rail have apologised for the disruption and have reminded passengers that if their journey has been delayed by 30 minutes or more, they may be entitled to compensation for a portion of their fare. Click here for more information on how to claim.
Advance purchase tickets holders will be allowed to travel on earlier or later trains if their booked service is cancelled.
