Top table tennis players from Suffolk treated shoppers in Ipswich to an exhibition of their talents at Sailmakers Shopping Centre.
The centre has filled one of its empty units with table tennis tables for shoppers to enjoy, but for one day only featured a table in the main mall for the display.
Among the players were veteran Rex Manning and Suffolk ladies number two Rosemary Curtis, as well as Rex’s son Ben and Rosemary’s daughter Lucy.
Sailmakers manager Mike Sorhaindo said: “We have been delighted to team up with Table Tennis England to install a table here at the centre for the summer.
“Table tennis is a brilliant sport and so easy to play and hopefully having the chance to play in a public place will encourage more people to take the game up and even join some of the local clubs.
“We are always looking to make the shopping experience a bit special and we are sure our customers have enjoyed the exhibition.”
