Tickets are now on sale for Ipswich’s latest new music festival – Suffolk Sounds, which is set to be the county’s biggest undercover music festival.
Inspired by Martlesham’s Music on the Green and Kesgrave Music Festival, Suffolk Sounds will take place at Trinity Park on Saturday, September 2 and feature some of the region’s finest bands alongside a fairground, stalls, classic cars and food and drink.
The Ed Sheeran Experience and Queen tribute band Rock Q will headline a line-up of more than 20 bands.
Proceeds will go towards East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Event chairman Chris Bones said: “The tickets are now on sale, I can’t believe how quickly and well this has come together!
“It just shows what can be achieved when you work as a team. It’s going to be a fantastic day. I can’t wait for it to arrive!
“Our aim is to firmly establish the event on the East Anglian music scene and we will pride ourselves in being one of the few events to encourage local youth bands; giving them the opportunity of performing alongside more established acts, using professional sound equipment and sound engineers.
“This provides a wonderful first exposure to a lot of new talent and we are sure you will agree that it is extremely important to encourage today’s youth performing at music festivals.”
Tickets are £5 for adults, £2 for children or £12 for families.
