Children at St Matthews Primary School in Ipswich came face to face with a real life comic book hero.
Pupils were paid a special visit by 18-year-old Adam Cullen, from Ipswich, an animation student at Suffolk New College.
Adam, who has autism, created a comic book in class called Adam the Pranker and the Angry Artist, basing the title character on himself and the pranks he used to play on his mother.
As part of his course, Adam has to get feedback about his work so a few months ago he decided to drop in some copies to the school to see what the youngsters thought – and they absolutely loved it.
On Tuesday, July 18 excited pupils got to meet the man behind the comic they had enjoyed and the real Adam the Pranker.
Class teacher Sophie Furniss said: “The children were so keen to see the comic book character in real life.
“It was brilliant, they loved it and asked him 101 questions.”
